Serenity
The view from the oak arbour here really is a sight to behold and one I wanted to capture in oils. I’ve walked my two dogs here for many years and each time I see something new. Beautiful at any time of the year and when the light hits the water I am totally transfixed which is why I had to capture the fleeting moment.
(Originally designed by the architect Henry Flitcroft, the Pond underwent extensive renovation in 2012 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, with a new Baroque-style footbridge added along with the a beautiful oak arbour.
